Karen Yamaguchi, DPM

Podiatrist Karen Yamaguchi, DPM has been practicing podiatry since 1990. She is a podiatric physician and board-certified podiatric surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Karen Yamaguchi was born and raised in Manoa Valley. She is a graduate of University Lab School and Chapman University. Dr. Yamaguchi attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, where she received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine, and graduated with honors. She completed her Podiatric Surgical Residency training at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Santa Clara and Sacramento, CA. After her residency, she served in the United States Air Force as Chief of Podiatry at Offutt Air Force Base for 8 years and later joined Laredo Medical Group in private practice in Laredo, TX before returning to Hawaii.

Dr. Yamaguchi has over 30 years of experience in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, with special interest in forefoot reconstructive surgery, diabetic/at-risk foot care, wound care, and sports medicine. She enjoys caring for patients and finds great satisfaction in making them feel better to improve their quality of life.

Dr. Yamaguchi is one the very few podiatric surgeons in Hawaii that is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is affiliated with Hawaii Health Partners, Straub Medical Center of Hawaii Pacific Health, and Kuakini Medical Center.

In her free time, Dr. Yamaguchi enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing tennis. She is conversational in Spanish.

Dr. Quinton Wong

Quinton Wong, DPM

Dr. Quinton Wong was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. He completed his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at Chapman University. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Subsequently, he completed a comprehensive 3-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at the Veterans Administration in Palo Alto, CA in affiliation with Stanford University, Sports Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Medicine, and Kaiser Permanente - San Jose. During his residency training, he was exposed to a wide range of pathology from trauma, reconstructive surgery, limb salvage, and general foot and ankle pathology.

He is currently board qualified with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. During his podiatric medical training, he was involved in original research pertaining to the 3-Dimensional Total Talus Replacements Case Series.

He values the importance of a team approach with each patient. Every foot and ankle issue is unique and he is keen on developing a care plan, together, that works best for each individual patient. He treats all patients like his own family.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing basketball and golf, and spending time with family and friends. He is conversational in Cantonese.
